From the roaster

Rainforest Roast is the result of a very special relationship with our friends at Long Miles Coffee in Burundi, East Africa. Since 2013, Ben and Kristy Carlson have been deeply invested in supporting and growing the coffee industry in Burundi where farmers struggle to overcome poverty and earn a fair price for some of the world’s most extraordinary coffee beans. Ben and Kristy and their children live in Burundi, and as part of their work have installed community washing stations and even started their own coffee farm. Rainforest Roast is extraordinary, and not just because it comes from a place of love. This specialty coffee gem has notes of vibrant fruits and berries, even hints of pineapple and blueberry. Every purchase contributes directly to the reforestation of Kibira Forest, Burundi’s last remaining rainforest.
