Privacy Policy

Last updated June 16, 2026

Coffeester is a static-rendered content site with no user accounts. We collect very little, and what we do collect is described plainly below.

What we collect

  • Server logs. Standard request logs (IP address, user-agent, timestamp) are retained by our host, Vercel, for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention. We don't use them for analytics.
  • No accounts. We have no login, so we don't store names, emails, or addresses — unless you voluntarily email us.
  • No tracking pixels beyond what's described under Embedded content below.

Analytics

We currently run no third-party analytics. If we add analytics in the future, we'll prefer privacy-respecting, cookie-free options (such as Plausible or Fathom) that don't track you across sites.

Embedded content (YouTube)

We embed YouTube videos using youtube-nocookie.com, which prevents YouTube from setting tracking cookies until you actually press play. If you play a video, YouTube and Google may set cookies under their own policies.

Email

If you email us, we store that conversation in our email system for as long as needed to respond and handle any follow-ups. We don't add you to mailing lists without your explicit consent.

Cookies

The site itself does not set tracking cookies. Vercel may set a minimal session or security cookie for deployment routing.

Your rights

  • GDPR (EU/UK): you have the right to access, correct, or delete any personal data we hold about you. Email us and we'll act on it.
  • CCPA (California): the same rights, plus the right to opt out of the sale of personal information — which is moot here, because we don't sell any.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 13.

Changes

We'll update the "Last updated" date when this policy changes. Material changes will be noted briefly on the homepage.
