Roasted by Round Hill Roastery
Natural process microlot from Mount Elgon foothills showcasing refined drying techniques.

From the roaster
This coffee is a unique microlot sourced from farming communities across the district of Sironko, along the fertile foothills of Mount Elgon at 1800-2000 masl in eastern Uganda. Smallholders deliver their harvest to The Coffee Yard, a large drying facility established by producer Norman Mukuru. With nearly 2 decades of experience in the coffee sector, Norman founded The Coffee Yard to showcase coffees from across the region and refine post-harvest handling at scale. Since 2018, he has focused exclusively on developing natural processing methods, continuously refining drying techniques to achieve cleaner and more expressive cup profiles.

Context
Round Hill Roastery's Highlight originates from Norman Mukuru of The Coffee Yard in Uganda's Sironko region, where elevation between 1800–2000 meters supports complex coffee development. This naturally processed lot showcases the characteristic flavor intensity that dried-fruit fermentation can impart—a hallmark of the natural method. Grown at substantial altitude in one of Uganda's premier coffee zones, Highlight demonstrates the potential for distinctive cup profiles when environmental and processing conditions align.
The combination of high elevation and natural processing typically yields coffees with pronounced sweetness and body. Explore Round Hill Roastery's full offerings here, and reference the flavor wheel to calibrate your tasting experience with this single-origin selection.
