Coffee Story

Grown in the highlands of Huehuetenango, Guatemala, this coffee comes from one of the country’s most celebrated regions. The region's Cuchumatanes mountain range has the highest non-volcanic peaks in all of Central America and is the highest and driest of the three non-volcanic regions of Guatemala. High elevations, cool temperatures, and long growing seasons create coffees that are clean, sweet, and beautifully balanced.

This coffee is sourced through Onyx Green Coffee, a family-led importer dedicated to building long-term, equitable relationships with smallholder producers in Guatemala. In 1957, Felipe Martinez planted coffee in the rugged mountains of Huehuetenango. Nearly 50 years later, his grandson Edwin Martinez began importing the family’s coffee—expanding to include neighboring farming families and creating sustainable market access beyond their own farm. 

This offering stays true to Huehuetenango’s signature profile: a sweet, juicy cup with nuanced fruit notes and a clean, lingering finish.
