Guatemala Finca Ojo de Agua Filter
Roasted by Everyday Coffee
Washed Guatemalan single farmer lot with jammy orange, berry and floral notes.

From the roaster
Yet another incredible coffee from the most recent Guatemala harvest. A special single farmer lot from Wilmer Barrios, a mix of varietals from his family farm in the Todos Santos Cuchumatanes locality in the Huehuetenango region. A small group of farmers that we’ve loved buying from. This cup is full of Jammy orange with mild cooked berry and fresh floral flavours. Juicy acidity and sugary sweetness. Although this lot is a mix of varieties, it was hands down the best Guatemalan coffee we had the pleasure of tasting this harvest. A true credit to the land he is working on and the effort he is putting into soil management, plant care and processing. Great for all of your black coffee needs, balanced and versatile, it will make a good, satisfying hot filter and a juicy, balanced cold one. This coffee will love milk too! Happy slurping!

— Everyday Coffee
Context
This washed coffee from Wilmer Barrios's Finca Ojo de Agua sits at 2000 meters in Huehuetenango, Guatemala's highland coffee region. Everyday Coffee has crafted a profile that balances juicy acidity with sugary sweetness, drawing jammy orange and cooked berry character alongside fresh floral notes—a typical interplay in well-executed washed coffees, where the removal of fruit during processing lets brighter acidity and delicate aromatics shine. The combination of citrus-forward stone fruit and floral complexity suggests careful fermentation and drying practices that preserved the bean's inherent brightness while building body.
