Everyday Coffee

Context

This decaffeinated espresso from Everyday Coffee sources Caturra grown in Colombia's Huila region at 1500–1750 masl. The coffee undergoes EA (ethyl acetate) natural decaffeination, a method that preserves much of the bean's original character while removing caffeine. Natural-process coffees tend toward fuller body and fruit-forward profiles, though decaffeination can affect complexity. The roaster identifies this lot as sweet and smooth—qualities well-suited to espresso applications where body and mouthfeel become prominent. Caturra's balanced acidity and moderate sweetness make it a reliable varietal for specialty decaf work, offering approachable flavor without the intensity some seek in caffeinated options.
