Stovetop Brew Box
Roasted by Climpson & Sons
Ethiopian espresso from Mirado Washing Station with smooth, creamy, jaffa cake-like flavors.

From the roaster
With a kitsch back to basics appeal, the humble stovetop is the trending manual brew method of choice for those that like the simpler things in life. Ideal for the home kitchen, travel or camping trips in the wild.
The Pezzetti Steel Express Moka Pot is an Italian design classic and an affordable way to enjoy our espresso coffees at home. Unlike other stovetops, the Pezzetti is suitable for both gas and electric induction hobs. Featuring an octagonal design shape to enhance the flavour and aroma of the coffee.
We’ve paired the Pezzetti with a 250g of our signature espresso, The Estate from the Mirado Washing Station in Ethiopia. Our go-to for smooth black coffees and creamy jaffa cake-like flavours in milk. Showcasing the very best attributes of Ethiopian coffees; bright, balanced and complex.
Includes:
1 x 250g The Estate 1 x Pezzetti Steel Express Moka Pot 6 Cup
Please note coffee is whole bean only.

Context
This washed Ethiopian from Climpson & Sons presents a distinctive profile that bridges brightness with creamy sweetness. Sourced from Mirado Washing Station and processed via the washed method—a technique that typically emphasizes clarity and acidity—this lot achieves a notably balanced character. The roaster's descriptor of "jaffa cake-like" suggests layered notes of citrus and chocolate that complement the coffee's smooth, creamy foundation. Such complexity in a single origin reflects the terroir of Ethiopian coffees, where high-altitude growing conditions often yield intricate fruit-forward profiles alongside body and sweetness. The interplay of brightness and creaminess makes this an approachable yet nuanced choice for specialty coffee drinkers exploring how regional character and careful processing shape the cup.
