Proud Mary Coffee was founded in Melbourne in 2009 by Nolan Hirte and became known for ambitious, high-end sourcing — including rare and competition-grade lots — and a bold, generous hospitality style. The brand later expanded to Portland, Oregon, becoming one of the few roasters to bridge the Australian and American specialty scenes directly.
