Cerro Blanco is one of those coffees that in our minds reflects exceptional standards in both quality and sustainability. Grown in the Moyobamba region of Cajamarca at elevations between 1,200–1,600 meters above sea level, it benefits from ideal high-altitude conditions that contribute to well-developed beans. When Gracenote sets out in our ever moving quest to source great coffees, we often ask our selves why this coffee? Often that answer is met with more questions, but sometimes its just a plain old yes please.

Context
This washed Peru from Gracenote Coffee represents the high-altitude coffees of Cajamarca's Moyobamba region, where elevation between 1200–1600 masl supports the region's characteristic flavor development. The blend of catimor and caturra varietals—both known for balancing body with clarity—forms the foundation here, while the washed processing method emphasizes cleaner, more delicate expression. The tasting profile spans bright, juicy aromatics (pink lemonade, persimmon) alongside warmer base notes (toffee, cocoa), suggesting complexity across the cup's evolution. This balance of acidity and sweetness is typical of well-grown Peruvian coffees at these elevations, where microclimatic conditions allow both fruit character and structured sweetness to coexist.
