Lemon curd, delicate peach & a hint of forest berries.
Farmers in Dogo, in Western Guji, have ideal microclimate conditions to produce sweet, dense cherries. The lofty altitudes in Dogo, Guji when combined with excellent rainfall, fertile soil and quality-oriented processing, produce an unparalleled coffee. Gerba Dogo coffee is sourced from around 500 family-owned farms surrounding the Dogo washing station (located around 3 km away from Gerba town) in the Guji Zone of the Oromia Region, Ethiopia. It is one of the pioneer washing stations for the Edema family, a generation of harvesting where Anteneh followed his father’s footsteps with his brothers to establish Oboleyan Coffee Export PLC (which means brothers in the Oromia language). Oboleyan operates washing stations in Dogo that collect cherries from nearby farmers, focusing on producing excellent quality.--- Suggested Recipe ~~~ In: 22g Out: 46g Time: 30sec Temp: 94.5°C ===

Context
Gerba Dogo from Five Senses offers a natural-processed Ethiopian coffee from the Western Guji region in Oromia. This lot is produced by Oboleyan Coffee Export PLC and displays a distinctive fruit-forward profile with lemon curd, peach, and forest berries in the cup. Natural processing typically allows extended contact between fruit and bean, encouraging the development of pronounced fruity and floral characteristics—qualities evident here. Ethiopian coffees, particularly from the country's diverse growing regions, are celebrated for their complexity and bright acidity, which can amplify the vibrancy of such fruit-driven notes in the cup.
