Rwanda - Nyamasheke Kanzu Wet

Bourbon · Washed

From the high-elevation hills of Nyamasheke, this washed Bourbon comes from Kanzu Washing Station, a beautifully run site overlooking Lake Kivu. At 1800–2100 meters above sea level, slow cherry maturation and careful processing bring clarity and balance to the cup.

After pulping, the coffee undergoes a controlled dry fermentation for 16–18 hours, followed by washing and an extended soak before drying on raised beds. This extra care in processing translates directly to a refined and structured profile.

In the cup, expect orange zest & blossom, brown sugar, flowers, and honey, carried by a smooth body and a clean, composed finish. The sweetness is rounded, the acidity gentle, and the overall experience is calm, elegant, and precise.

A classic expression of Nyamasheke, focused and quietly complex.
