Sweet Bloom Coffee Roasters

Sweet Bloom Coffee Roasters is a Colorado-based specialty coffee company founded by Andy Sprenger in Lakewood, focused on sourcing, roasting, and serving coffee within a precise window of peak freshness.

Sweet Bloom Coffee Roasters was founded in 2013 by Andy Sprenger, an award-winning roaster and two-time U.S. Brewers Cup Champion, World Brewers Cup runner-up, and 2013 U.S. Aeropress Champion. Sprenger launched Sweet Bloom in Lakewood, Colorado, after rising through the ranks at Ceremony Coffee in Maryland. In 2019, Eric Yochim—founder of the Arvada-based Two Rivers Coffee and a veteran of the fine dining and hospitality industry—joined as co-owner, bringing a hospitality-forward approach to the company's retail operations. Central to Sweet Bloom's philosophy is their Seasonal Sweet Spot™ concept: the belief that coffee tastes best when freshly roasted and free from the off-notes that develop as green coffee ages. To honor this, they source smaller, recently harvested lots that typically shine for one to three months, resulting in a frequently rotating menu of single-origin offerings. Andy leads sourcing and quality at origin, while Eric oversees the cafes. The company operates locations in Lakewood, Westminster, and Arvada, and emphasizes values of generous hospitality and creativity.
