Doppelganger Espresso

Dopplegänger is our darkest espresso roast and our easiest to use espresso. Just like Alter Ego, don't expect sweaty looking black beans. Instead, these beans have been roasted to a beautiful chocolate brown colour. Our goal was achieve a rich, smooth and bold espresso that can work in milk or on its own, in a fancy manual espresso machine or a super-automatic.

The dual-origin composition hints at the "doppelganger" nomenclature, pairing distinct Honduran terroirs to create textural balance in the cup. Honduran coffees from this region typically showcase balanced sweetness and body, traits that make them reliable anchors in espresso formulations.

This blend represents a deliberate roastery decision to combine two defined microlots rather than rely on a single-origin expression, a technique often employed to achieve consistency and complexity in espresso shots.
