From the roaster

Our espresso roasts changes with the seasons and our mood. It's not a specific flavour profile but the coffee that we find the most exciting to have as espresso at the moment. Whichever coffee we use, you can always count on our espresso to be fresh, in season and with a clear sense of origin. Just the way we like it.

Morgon Coffee Roasters

Context

This espresso blend from Morgon Coffee Roasters sources Catucai from producer Vanessa Moreno in Brazil's Alta Mogiana region. The natural processing method preserves the fruit-forward character typical of unwashed coffees, though here the roaster has emphasized deeper, more structured notes of dark chocolate and roasted hazelnut—suggesting a medium-dark roast approach that balances the varietal's inherent sweetness with body-building development. At 900 masl, this is a classic high-altitude Brazilian terroir where Catucai thrives with balanced acidity and density.
