Context

This washed Geisha from Jhonatan Gasca in Colombia's Huila region showcases the varietal's characteristic elegance. Geisha is prized for delicate, tea-like clarity, and the washed process typically emphasizes cleaner acidity and brighter aromatics. Code Black's tasting notes—lemon, honeysuckle, violet, and white sugar—suggest a coffee balancing citrus brightness with floral complexity, a profile common to well-executed examples of this varietal. Grown at 1800 meters, the beans benefit from the altitude's slower maturation, which can intensify fruit and floral development. This lot represents a refined single-origin expression ideal for filter preparation, where the coffee's delicate character can fully emerge.
