Founded in Grand Rapids, Michigan, in 2008 by Trevor Corlett and Ryan Knapp, Madcap Coffee Company helped establish the Midwest as a serious specialty-coffee region. Known for clean, sweet, carefully sourced single origins and a polished retail experience, Madcap earned national recognition and competition success while remaining rooted in Michigan. Its growth demonstrated that destination-quality roasting and hospitality could thrive well outside the coastal coffee capitals.
