Larry's Coffee

Larry's Coffee is based in Raleigh's Five Points neighborhood, where it operates a roastery within a cluster of three buildings designed with extensive eco-friendly features, including solar water-heated radiant floors, rainwater harvesting tanks holding up to 2,500 gallons, passive-solar clerestory daylighting, reflective flooring, zone heating, spray foam insulation, composting via worm bins, and recyclable single-serve k-cups. Nearly all of the company's coffee is certified Organic, Fair Trade, and Shade-Grown. Larry's holds certification as a B-Corporation, reflecting its philosophy that business can serve as a force for good. The roaster is also a founding member of Cooperative Coffees, a network of independent roasters that imports coffee directly from farmers with the aim of establishing higher standards of partnership and fairness in the supply chain. The company describes its overall approach as combining coffee excellence with social and environmental responsibility.
