On the roasting side, Detour works in small batches using a Loring Coffee Roaster, which employs convection heat to produce what the company describes as clean, sweet, and balanced roast profiles designed to maximize sweetness, acidity, aromatics, and texture inherent in each coffee. Their goal is to highlight origin, region, variety, and processing characteristics rather than impose a house style. Detour offers a range of products including blends, single-origin coffees, decaf, and instant coffee, alongside a Coffee Club subscription program.
