Dear Green Coffee Roasters was founded in Glasgow in 2011 by a single person with one roaster and a mission to bring specialty-grade coffee to Scotland. The name derives from 'Dear Green Place,' the Scots Gaelic origin of the word Glasgow. The roastery has since grown into an award-winning, B Corp-certified business — certified since 2020 — operating a roastery, showroom, and training space in Glasgow. Dear Green roasts ethically sourced specialty coffee daily and supplies cafes, offices, and home customers. The company offers SCA-accredited training, classes, and experiences, and donates 2% of revenue to causes supporting social and climate justice. Core values include transparency, traceability, and sustainability throughout the supply chain, working only with carefully selected import partners and producers. Dear Green also organises community events and advocates for broader industry change, positioning coffee as both a craft and a vehicle for positive social and environmental impact.
