Context
This washed Peruvian coffee comes from JUMARP, a collective of producers in the Amazonian Andes region. The lot showcases Typica, a classic varietal known for its balanced, accessible flavor profile. At 1800 meters altitude, the beans develop the roaster's noted chocolate, hazelnut, and caramel characteristics—a warm, rounded expression typical of well-grown Central and South American coffees. The organic certification underscores the cooperative's commitment to sustainable farming practices.
Propeller Coffee has roasted this lot to highlight those comforting cocoa and nut-forward notes, making it an approachable choice for those seeking clarity without excessive complexity. Use the flavor wheel to calibrate your own tasting experience and discover secondary nuances beneath the primary chocolate sweetness.
