Kurume is a local Ethiopian landrace type, recognised by its small, round beans, commonly grown in Yirgacheffe and the wider Gedeo Zone. Increasingly named on traceable lots, it is associated with the intensely floral, citric, delicate cup that built Yirgacheffe's reputation, and it exemplifies the growing effort to identify individual landraces within the broad 'heirloom' category.
