Onyx is known for radically transparent sourcing — publishing prices paid to producers — alongside meticulous, data-driven roasting and a sleek, modern brand identity that set a visual benchmark for the industry. Its multi-roast approach spans bright, delicate light roasts to fuller espresso profiles. Onyx demonstrated that a roaster far from the coastal coffee capitals could compete at the highest national level and build a nationwide following.
