Gardelli Specialty Coffees
Award-laden Italian micro-roaster proving Italy can excel at modern light-roast specialty.
Gardelli Specialty Coffees, based in Forlì, Italy, was built around Rubens Gardelli, a multiple-time award-winning roaster and competitor (including world roasting honours). In a country synonymous with dark espresso traditions, Gardelli became an unlikely standard-bearer for modern, light-roast specialty coffee, shipping high-scoring and experimentally processed lots worldwide. The roastery showed that Italy could contribute to the cutting edge of third-wave coffee, not just its history.
Origins they source from
Colombia
Huila
Colombia's most awarded department — sweet, complex washed coffees with caramel, red fruit, and bright acidity.
Ethiopia
Guji
A relatively young star origin known for clean, intensely floral and stone-fruit-driven micro-lots.
