Parainema

Coffea arabica (Sarchimor-derived)

Clean, sweet, with notable cup quality for a resistant line.

Parainema is a Sarchimor-derived (Villa Sarchi × Timor Hybrid) variety released by Honduras's IHCAFE around 2011, and it stands out among rust-resistant lines for unusually strong cup quality — Parainema lots have placed well in the Honduras Cup of Excellence. It became an important option for farmers seeking both leaf-rust resistance and specialty potential after Lempira's resistance began to break down.
