Limu

Limu, in the Jimma Zone of western Oromia, grows between roughly 1,400 and 2,000 metres and is historically associated with both smallholder gardens and some of Ethiopia's larger state-era estates. Predominantly washed, Limu coffees are valued for their balance: medium body, gentle citric acidity, and a winey, lightly spiced sweetness that makes them reliable single origins and blend components. The wider Jimma area is also significant in coffee history as part of the Kaffa forest belt from which Coffea arabica is believed to have originated, anchoring Limu within the plant's ancestral home.
